Who We Are
Southridge Early Learning Center is a ministry of Southridge Church in Kennewick, WA. Our licensed preschool serves families across the Tri-Cities by providing a warm, nurturing, Christ-centered environment for children ages 2.5 to 6. We partner with parents and families in the physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth of their little ones, helping each child feel loved, confident, and ready to thrive. Our program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and equip them with the tools they need to grow in every area of life. With a beautiful, engaging facility and caring teachers, your child will feel right at home!
Mission Statement
Southridge Early Learning Center exists to expand the mission of Southridge Church, proclaiming the life-giving news of Jesus, to our Center’s children and their families.
Vision & Purpose
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. And do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16). Incorporating the good news of Jesus in all it does, SELC exists to equip children with the essential building blocks for this life and eternity.
Therefore, children attending SELC will daily hear the truths of God’s inspired Word, the Bible. They will also be offered a variety of activities that will develop the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. We provide a program that reflects the developmental level of each child through active and quiet times; individual, small, and large group activities; and indoor and outdoor play. We believe in providing a program that offers a warm, nurturing environment, with valuable educational experiences under the guidance of a well-trained staff.
We consider ourselves partners with parents/guardians in the training of their children, especially in spiritual matters. All teaching will come from a Christian perspective. We will share basic Bible truths and their application to daily living with the children throughout our curriculum. Our goal is to lead children to know and love their Lord Jesus and to make Him a part of their daily lives.
